The foam generating liquid (LGE) is a synthetic foam concentrate that acts as a kind of detergent to fight class A and B fires, especially in hydrocarbons and polar solvents. Non-toxic, biodegradable, resistant to high temperatures and with a long useful life, it has low density and expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the advantages of LGE and that makes it indispensable in combating certain types of fires is that it acts effectively on the surface of the ignited liquid, creating a protective barrier and preventing heated gases from dissipating. Mixed with fresh or brackish water, LGE can be used in equipment with or without air intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Types of foam generating liquid<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All types of LGE must be approved by ABNT, which certifies their correct functioning and the preservation of the health of people who deal with this substance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible to find LGEs in dosages of 1, 3 or 6%, which are indicated according to the application. Some are specific for fighting class B fires, while others for polar solvents, hydrocarbons or class A fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
