Ambipar currently manage the UK\u2019s National Counter Pollution Equipment Stockpile Contract on behalf of the UK\u2019s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) including offshore and shoreline oil spill response equipment, dispersant stockpile and application equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have successfully delivered this contract for the last 27 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main purpose of the contract is to provide storage of the MCA\u2019s equipment, to maintain it through a programme of planned preventative maintenance and repairs as required and to deploy the equipment in marine pollution incidents using trained and competent responders with experience in this industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as a 24hr response, the project involves at least one \u2018heavy deployment\u2019 no notice drill once a year. We also take part in national exercises the MCA are involved in and deliver approximately six Beach Supervisor courses, which focus on training the local authority and involve both theory and a practical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other services supplied within the contract include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of Nautical Institute accredited training on MCA courses;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provision of logistical support during incidents;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provision of technical advice for equipment purchases, exercise planning and more generally in the field of oil spill response; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provision of a Technical Advisor to the MCA\u2019s Marine Response Centre during incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

24hr emergency response service and guaranteed onsite resources within 12hrs of mobilisation;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of accredited training on MCA courses (over 400 trained);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provision of logistical support during incidents;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The provision of technical advice for equipment purchases, exercise planning and more generally in the field of oil spill response; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
