Ambipar Response were contracted by the Department of Health and Social Care to decontaminate a number of coaches used during the transfer of British citizens evacuated from China. This is further to recent decontamination services provided to Public Health England (PHE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 31st December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) was informed of a cluster of cases of pneumonia of unknown cause detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 12th January 2020 it was announced that a novel coronavirus had been identified in samples obtained from cases and that initial analysis of virus genetic sequences suggested that this was the cause of the outbreak. This virus is now referred to as \u201c2019-nCoV\u201d and the associated disease as \u201c2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subsequently, on the 31st January 2020, a number of British nationals were evacuated by air from Wuhan City to RAF Brize Norton, UK before being transferred by coach to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral for quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
