The 3 day (24 hours) course is a practical based course designed for staff with a responsible role within their organisation and who may be required to lead a response team following an oil spill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Delegates who sit the course do not require any previous response experience as the course has a range of hands on exercises and an equipment deployment alongside modular theory sections. The course can either be held at an Ambipar Training Facility or at a suitable location, convenient for the delegates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the course there is a complete overview of techniques used to recover, contain and mitigate contamination following an oil spill. The course covers both large and small oil spill events so delegates gain a wide range of knowledge and skills. Ambipar Response instructors are also able to adjust the course to make it more appropriate for the delegates, by covering the equipment the delegate is most likely to operate, regional climate, local tidal movements, topography, geomorphology and contingency plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On successful completion delegates are awarded with a Nautical Institute accredited OPRC OSR Level 1 Certificate (IMO Equivalent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
