Polymeric beads are often transported in \u201ccurtain sider\u201d vehicles in large cardboard known as \u201cOctabins\u201d. These are around 2m tall by 1.5m in diameter and there are usually around 22 loaded on a trailer. They are susceptible to tipping; possibly from a heavy breaking event, which means that they cannot be accepted by the customer. When such an event occurs, they require careful straightening (where possible) or transshipment to new packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Project Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ambipar Response has been requested by the manufacturer to attend several tipping events over the past 2-3 years and has responded both in UK and Germany. Where a transfer is necessary, a carefully controlled process to ensure no static build-up is conducted each time and the newly repackaged octabins are reloaded onto the trailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Working in close cooperation with the manufacturer and variously with their transport company and their customers.
