Todd Skoglund
Director of OperationsThe training center’s Director of Operations is Todd Skoglund, M.Ed. Since beginning his emergency response career in 1989, he has trained thousands of emergency responders from the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In addition, he has been a featured keynote speaker and presenter at regional, national, and international hazardous materials response conferences and seminars.

Robert Furgeson
Emergency Service LiaisonWith 31 years of law Enforcement and Security experience. Robert started his career in 1990 working in Security for Sperry and Columbia House. He is a licensed security officer in the State of Colorado, a former sheriff Deputy with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, graduated from the Police Academy. Retired after 27 years with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, with experience in Detention. deputy, patrol deputy, traffic accident Investigator, Detective, SWAT Team member, school resource officer and DARE instructor.

Kirk Jongsma
MaintenanceKirk grew up in Bullhead City AZ and since he was 10 years old, he started operating equipment and working on plumbing and Electrical with his father. Now Kick has a vast experience on Maintenance in all areas mentioned and he is bringing it to the ARTC site.

Mindy Waggoner
Administrative SupervisorMindy Waggoner was born and raised in Avondale, CO on a cattle ranch. She graduated from a local Pueblo, CO high school and spent the next 5 years traveling the globe gaining valuable life experience. She enjoys hiking, camping and fly fishing in the Arkansas river waters of Colorado. Graduating from CSU – Pueblo in 2015 with her Software Engineering degree she went to work for Collins Aerospace as a Data Systems developer. After spending 6 years with Collins Mindy began working for the Federal Railroad Administration as the Learning Systems Administrator and developed many improvements to the FRA’s data collections systems for accident and fatality reporting. Mindy is now serving as the Administrative Supervisor for the Ambipar Response Training Center in Pueblo, CO.

Gale Holderman
Senior InstructorGale Holderman is our Senior Instructor and Explosives Blaster. He has over 40 years of wide-ranging experience in emergency response including law enforcement, wildland and structural fire response, medical, hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction, clandestine drug labs and terrorism. Gale retired from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office after nearly 36 years of service.

Cory Knight
Railroad fieldCory is passionate and experienced as an automotive mechanic. He has an associate degree in the area and 8 years of experience working on the railroad field. Now he is working for Ambipar Response Training Center in Pueblo, CO. He enjoys outdoors activities and spending time with his family.
