OBJECTIVE:

The course introduces delegates to preparedness and response requirements for marine spills at ports and hydrocarbon handling facilities. 

Throughout the course, delegates cover:

  • Oil spill contingency plan
  • Response strategies 
  • Health and safety considerations of responding to an oil spill
  • Participate in a practical deployment exercise

Throughout the course delegates are made to consider their involvement in their organisation’s contingency plan should it be activated and how to operate oil spill response equipment safely and effectively.

Upon completion delegates will receive an accredited certificate of competence.
