OBJECTIVE:
Train the operational team to respond and manage incidents safely, efficiently and effectively. It is a hands-on course designed for employees with a responsibility role within their organization and who may be asked to lead a response team after an oil spill.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Operators operating in port terminals.
PROGRAM CONTENT:
- Recognize the main causes of oil spills at sea
- Analyze the behavior of oil at sea and recognize the physical and biotic environment of the impacted environment
- Identify equipment and materials needed to respond to the emergency
- Analyze the contingency plan and its role in the emergency
- Identify the roles of the actors involved in the emergency
- Understanding the issues associated with the emergency response
