Ambipar, the leader in environmental management, has acquired control of the company AFC Soluções Ambientais(AFC Environmental Solutions). The goal is to continue with the expansion plan through organic and inorganic growth. The acquisition represents the enlargement of Ambipar’s activities in the Northeast Region,providing integrated total waste management solutions with a focus on valuation by applying the circular economy concept.
AFC has 10 years’ experience in the industrial waste management market, with work concentrated in northeastern Brazil. It began its business with the operation of an effluent treatment plant in the Suape Port Complex. It currentlyoperates in waste management in the states of Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
In Brazil, Ambipar intends to maintain investments in inorganic growth in the region, to further complement its environmental services portfolio. In the emergency response segment, the focus is on the implementation of new commercial and operating bases, as well as acquisitions abroad to consolidate its presence in the United States and Europe.
AFC Soluções Ambientais
Founded in 2011, AFC provides complete services aimed at developing and implementing technologies in clients’ processes. It has a 74,000-square-meter industrial area in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco. It also has its own vehicle fleet, including special GPS-monitored trucks.AFC controls the process from waste collection to its final disposal, ensuring safety and traceability at all stages of the process. The company has its own Effluent Treatment Plant, with eight discharge bays operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
