Ambipar informed the acquisition of 100% of Disal Ambiental Holding through its direct subsidiary, Environmental ESG Participações. The company did not inform values ​​and emphasizes that the purchase will not be submitted to the approval of its shareholders, nor will it give rise to the right to withdraw, considering that it was carried out through its privately-held subsidiary.

According to the company, Disal has been operating for over 40 years with integrated solutions for environmental management in Chile, Peru and Paraguay, regions where it has a market leadership position and technological vanguard. Its focus is on total industrial waste management services, providing solutions for the collection and treatment of solids, liquids and hazardous waste. In addition, it has a diversified portfolio of blue chips clients and long-term contracts for the mining, civil construction, food, among others sectors. It has 2,205 employees and 550 assets allocated to 45 branches.

In 2020, the company had net revenue of R$503.2 million (US$103.6 million) and Ebitda of R$93.8 million (US$19.3 million).

Ambipar highlights that, as part of the group, Disal will leverage the offer of services in unexplored segments, such as pulp and paper, where Ambipar has proprietary solutions and is the market leader in Brazil; implementation of post-consumer plastic waste recovery, under the circular economy concept, for the transformation of raw material (PCR resin) for the petrochemical industry; organic and inorganic growth in Latin America; and generation of certifiable carbon credits.
