Transfer – Specialist
August 12 – 16

One week course focused on emergency transfers of hazardous materials. Students will learn pump transfers (liquids and compressed gas), vapor compressor transfers, pressure differential transfers, scrubbing toxic/reactive vapors and flaring. We will utilize drums, totes, intermodal tanks, all series of highway cargo tanks, general service and pressure tanks cars. All common field scenarios will be practiced hands on by students. The course is 20% classroom and 80% field work.

*Students should have prior experience or training with highway cargo tanks and railroad tank cars
