Firefighting Robot Presented at ROG.e by Ambipar

Ambipar, a leading Brazilian company in environmental solutions, revealed the STW, a firefighting robot developed by Response, the company’s unit specialized in crisis management and environmental emergencies, during ROG.e (formerly Rio Oil & Gas).

The STW has a 10-hour operational autonomy and is capable of acting in both forest fires, common in Brazil, and classified zones, such as the oil and gas industry.

With significant advancements over previous models, this robot can withstand temperatures up to 600ºC for 15 minutes and features a non-rubber mobility mechanism, using a bronze and aluminum alloy that does not produce sparks on the ground.

The remote control allows operation from up to 300 meters away, assisting firefighters in hard-to-reach locations and reducing preparation time for fire combat.

The equipment is equipped with multiple cameras for remote monitoring and can combat fires using foam, water, and dry chemical powder, launching up to 45 kg of powder up to 20 meters away.

With a maximum flow of 8,000 liters of water per minute, the robot exceeds the capacity of a conventional fire truck, storing up to 15,000 liters of water.

Rafael Espírito Santo, CEO of Ambipar Response, highlights the equipment’s resistance to impacts and the durability of its state-of-the-art lithium iron phosphate battery, which is 100% recyclable.

With advancements in firefighting technologies, Ambipar’s STW robot promises to revolutionize how we handle environmental emergencies, effectively protecting lives and the environment.
