History

Ambipar Response EMEA was initially established as D.V Howells in 1954, and have over 65 years experience responding to and preparing organisations for environmental incidents both nationally and internationally. Team members take pride in sharing their extensive knowledge of the industry and this is always reflected in the courses our instructors offer today.

Experienced Instructors

Collectively, Ambipar Response training staff have over 100 years of experience responding to a range of incidents around the globe. With an extensive knowledge of both the practical and theoretical aspects of the industry our trainers are able to offer an exciting course structure with references to their own experiences.

Bespoke Courses

Our dedicated training staff are able to adapt courses to suit the needs of our clients and provide a range of published and bespoke courses.

Accreditation

Ambipar’s specialist services are all accredited by:

  • Bureau Veritas to ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System);
  • ISO 45001- 2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System);
  • ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management System);
  • BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) standards.

Ambipar is a member of the UK & Ireland Spill Association and holds the highest level of accreditation available in all disciplines.

Ambipar are accredited through the International Spill Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) to provide Spill Awareness Training and Marine, Freshwater and Shoreline response operations in line with the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) National Standard for Marine Oil Spill Response Organisations.

Ambipar are internationally accredited by the Nautical Institute (NI) to deliver OPRC OSR (IMO Equivalent) Courses (Levels 1, 2 and 3) and UK MCA equivalent courses (MCA 1P to MCA 5P); as well as Incident Management (ICS 300) and HNS Courses.

Training Delivery

Face to Face Theory

All our oil spill response training courses can be delivered face to face for the theoretical sessions. These are organised into specific modules relevant to the course content and Nautical Institute syllabus.
Sessions are delivered by a range of presentations, videos, workbooks, individual and group tabletop exercises.

Face to Face Practical

For those courses with a practical element, Ambipar Response deliver a range of equipment familiarisation and deployment sessions. Typically, these involve demonstrations of Ambipar Response’s training equipment alongside your own stockpile.

Virtual Delivery

Certain theoretical aspects of the courses can be delivered virtually alongside course refreshers. This will depend on the level of the course and arrangements for any practical sessions. Ambipar Response are experienced in virtual delivery via a range of platforms and have access to a range of online learning aids and remote exercises.
