The 3 day (24 hours) practical course is designed for staff who may be required to lead an on-site response team following an oil spill.

The course is very practical based with a range of hands on exercises which are covered by theory sessions. The course can be either be held at an Ambipar Response training facility or at a suitable location, convenient for the delegates.

Throughout the course there is a complete overview of techniques used to recover, contain and mitigate contamination following an oil spill. The course covers both large and small oil spill events so delegates gain a wide range of knowledge and skill.

The course highlights the benefits of following a contingency plan and looks at how differing shoreline topography, geomorphology and land /marine use can effect a response.

The course covers the theoretical background and importance of key spill documentation, notably site safety and shoreline surveying with practical application on the completion of shoreline safety and survey forms.

Ambipar Response instructors can adapt exercises and training to make the course more appropriate to the delegate, covering their contingency plans, look at their local landscape features and review the recovery equipment the delegate is most likely to use or have in stock.
