The 1 day (8 hours) course is specifically designed to provide basic
knowledge for managers and non-operational staff that will be
required to respond in the event of an oil spill.

The foundation course gives an overview and understanding to the various terms, outcomes, response strategies, response techniques and expectations of an individual within a support role during an oil spill event.

Delegates do not require any former knowledge of spill response to take part in this course as our instructors use teaching aids such as videos, photographs and model demonstrations of response equipment, oil spills and oil types to give inexperienced delegates a broad insight into oil spill events.

Ambipar Response Instructors are able to tailor the course to suit the requirements and experience of the delegates whilst still achieving the course objectives to ensure that all students obtain the information required.

OPRC OSR Level O is accredited by the Nautical Institute against the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) as a model training course for ‘General Acquaintance’. Certification from this course meets international standards.
