São Paulo, September 30, 2024 – Ambipar, a Brazilian multinational and global leader in environmental solutions, which has operational bases of its subsidiary ‘Ambipar Response’ in South America, North America, and Europe, is now establishing its headquarters on one of the largest and most populous continents – Africa. With local partners, the new base is located in Angola (Luanda), and the initial investment announced is around US$ 1.5 million.
The company is already providing services in the African country remotely through its operation in the United Kingdom, with training and emergency simulations. Now, with the unit in Luanda, Ambipar will be able to focus on industrial services, specializing in work at heights and confined spaces, equipment rental, and tank maintenance, as well as solutions for environmental emergencies. With certification for handling radioactive waste and trained and certified employees for this high-risk type of work, the company also meets demands for cleaning, maintenance, treatment, and painting of marine and industrial tanks, decontamination of tanks and networks, platforms, vessels, and industrial plants.
“We are quite optimistic about the new unit, as it is already poised to serve various Oil and Gas companies that are part of our active client base in Brazil but also operate in Angola, in addition to meeting regional demand for this type of solution,” explains Rogério Calderaro, director of Ambipar Response Industrial Services.
Ambipar Response specializes in responding to environmental emergencies, operating in the prevention and management of accidents involving contaminating and hazardous products, firefighting, environmental emergencies, and natural disasters affecting highways, railways, airports, ports, industries, mining companies, or pipelines. It operates in four areas: industrial services (industrial cleaning, repair, and maintenance), maritime services (port support in oil spills, transportation, equipment, monitoring, preventive containment, and emergency base), environmental services (consulting and environmental analysis), and emergency response (crisis management).
