Ambipar (AMBP3) announced on Monday (30) that it was recognized as green equity (which recognizes companies engaged in activities that contribute to environmental protection and combating climate change) by B3 and certified by Standard & Poor’s.
Ambipar is the first private company in Latin America to receive this designation. Currently, only 0.02% of companies listed on global stock exchanges hold this certification.
The other Brazilian company with this title is Sabesp (SBSP3), which was nominated in June of this year when it was still a state-owned company, later being privatized in July.
