Ambipar, Brazilian multinational and global leader in environmental solutions, will be responsible for carbon offsetting at Waste Expo Brasil, estimated at 281 tons of carbon.
This number was estimated using Ambify – a platform that transforms greenhouse gas emission reductions into tradable carbon credits.
Waste Expo Brasil is the largest event in Latin America dedicated to the complete management of solid waste, recycling, public cleaning, urban sanitation, and sustainable energy generation.
The event takes place from October 22 to 24 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. The company participates in the event with its two subsidiaries:
Ambipar Response will give a lecture on “Efficient Management in Accidents with Hazardous Waste” at the Waste Brasil Forum on October 24 at 2:45 PM.
Commercial director Erik Cardassi will present real cases handled by Ambipar’s emergency division in Brazil, providing insights on how to prevent emergency scenarios in the transport of hazardous waste.
Ambipar Environment will participate as an exhibitor at the fair. At the booth, the “Retorna Machine” will be one of the company’s highlights, as it is an innovative program for collecting and disposing of post-consumer packaging.
The machine can be branded with the visual identity of the brands, featuring a touchscreen as an interactive communication tool with the public, and can be installed in high-traffic public or private places.
By inserting packaging, tricoins are generated, which can be exchanged for benefits such as discounts on utility bills and bookstores, transportation vouchers, or phone credits.
All collected materials are processed by Ambipar itself and sent to partner cooperatives and recycling companies.
Another highlight is the Ambipar Circular Pack Seal, which neutralizes negative environmental impact and promotes a circular economy, ensuring that the product fully complies with the guidelines of the National Solid Waste Policy.
In addition, it encourages recycling by structuring the reverse logistics chain and providing proven production with recycling credits.
“We are at Waste Expo Brasil for the second consecutive year and are quite optimistic about bringing our environmental solutions,” concludes Felipe Cury, Head of post-consumption at Ambipar.
