Neoenergia (NEOE3) has completed the implementation of “Vale Luz” in its concession area. The final stage of the project involved the installation of the “Deixaki” eco-point – a container-like location for disposing of recyclable materials – in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. The initiative (Projeto Vale Luz) is part of the Energy Efficiency Program regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
To participate, users need to create a “conta triciclo” by accessing the website triciclo.eco.br or installing the app, available for iOS and Android. Then, they find the nearest collection point for disposal. All materials are scored, and for every 150 “tricoins,” the user is entitled to a R$ 1.00 discount on their electricity bill.
