247 – The Second Brazil Forum, taking place next Wednesday, the 4th, at the Brasília Palace Hotel in the federal capital, will address two critical topics for the country: energy transition and sustainable urban development. The program includes lectures and panels featuring prominent political and business leaders such as Jean Paul Prates, former president of Petrobras; Ricardo Nunes, mayor of São Paulo; Helder Barbalho, governor of Pará; and Gilmar Mendes, minister of the Supreme Federal Court. Jean Paul Prates, former president of Petrobras, will deliver his first public conference since leaving the company. São Paulo mayor Ricardo Nunes will participate in the panel on urban transformation, discussing key factors for the sustainable development of cities. Pará governor Helder Barbalho, who attended COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will host COP30 in Belém, will also join the forum, highlighting the importance of Amazon regions in the sustainability and development debate.

The event will also feature other notable speakers, including Hélio Costa, chairman of Light; Luiz Fernando Furlan, former Minister of Development and Lide chairman; Paulo Henrique Costa, president of BRB; Edson Garcia, CEO of Companhia de Energia de Brasília; Patrícia Iglecias, professor at USP and member of Ambipar’s board; Pedro Teixeira, vice president of Ternium; and other leaders from the public and private sectors.
