On Saturday (23), Nova Odessa City Hall will host the 2nd Job Fair from 8 am to 1 pm in the atrium of the Municipal Palace.

The event is organized in partnership with local companies and is open to the population of Nova Odessa of all ages, including young apprentices, those seeking their first job, and workers over 50, with or without experience.

Already, 40 companies have confirmed their participation in the job fair, representing various sectors, including local and regional HR agencies, offering more than 850 job opportunities in different fields. Among them are companies such as Ambipar, Localiza, Grupo SC/Panpharma, VRH Consultoria, Leofran Transportes, McDonald’s, Saurer, Metroval, A Executiva, Supermercados Pague Menos, Metal Four, Supermercados Paraná, and more. It’s important for candidates to have their resumes on hand.

“We already have more than 40 companies confirmed for the ‘Job Fair,’ so we hope to offer more positions than last year. Other interested companies can still get in touch with our PLT team, which is always available for job posting and resume collection,” said Rafael Brocchi, Municipal Secretary of Economic Development.

This edition will feature some new elements, as some services are offered free of charge to candidates, including hairdressing, ophthalmological tests, and a space from Sebrae for those interested in becoming entrepreneurs.

The 2nd Job Fair will also provide internship opportunities for students and young apprentices in the city through partnerships with SOS (Service for Guidance and Solidarity) and CIEE (Center for Integration of Business and School).

“Last year, at the 1st Job Fair, over 1,500 workers passed through Nova Odessa City Hall’s atrium, competing for around 780 positions. I believe we will receive a good number of candidates this Saturday during the 2nd Job Fair. The PLT WhatsApp number is (19) 97101-0745,” said Rafael Brocchi.

As in the first edition, people will be hired at the Municipal Palace in groups of 70, starting with a lecture on “How to behave in job interviews and enhance your resume,” offered by Microlins. Afterward, the group will visit the tables of each participating company, where a list of the vacancies offered by that employer will be available.

“Many people need jobs to pay their bills, bring food to their homes, and feed their families. This partnership between the City Hall and the companies of Nova Odessa is for that purpose, to bring employment to those who need it most, especially for their first job,” added Mayor Leitinho.
