Braskem announces an important partnership to achieve its goal of producing 300,000 tons of thermoplastic resins and chemical products with recycled content by 2025 and 1 million tons by 2030. The company signed a contract with Ambipar Triciclo that will now receive polyethylene and polypropylene packaging used in yogurt bottles, packets of beans and rice, margarine jars, shampoo packaging, among others.

The waste will be used as inputs in Braskem’s recently opened mechanical recycling plant in Indaiatuba (SP), which involved an investment of R$ 67 million. The expectation is that 250 million tons of used packaging will be transformed into 14 thousand tons of recycled resin.
