The company, valued at R$8 million, works in collaboration with cooperatives to collect and recover packaging
Ambipar announced this Thursday (3) the acquisition of ViraSer, a reverse logistics company that operates in its own model, called social franchising. ViraSer has been operating for seven years, operating, in partnership with cooperatives, a reverse logistics model that innovates in the collection and recovery of post-consumption packaging with reinsertion into the production cycle, applying the concept of circular economy.
The operation seeks to increase Ambipar’s service portfolio, as it further intensifies its operations with all types of post-consumer waste and in partnerships with cooperatives. In addition, the acquisition reaffirms the commitment to the transition from linear to circular economy and further expands Ambipar’s social impact in Brazil, an essential pillar in ESG.
ViraSer now becomes Ambipar Environmental, with an expansion plan for the coming years that foresees the creation of at least 150 Social Franchise units in different regions of the country.
In the last 12 months, ViraSer had revenues of BRL 8 million, Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of BRL 1.8 million, and was valued at a market value of BRL 8 million. .
