The Ambipar (AMBP3) announced on Monday (30) that it was recognized as green equity (which recognizes companies with activities that contribute to environmental protection and combat climate change) by B3 and certified by Standard & Poor’s.
Ambipar is the first private company in Latin America to obtain such designation. Currently, only 0.02% of companies listed on global stock exchanges have this certification.
The other Brazilian company to hold such title is Sabesp (SBSP3), which received the designation in June this year when it was still a state-owned company, and was later privatized in July.
