The financial volume reached R$ 55 million — an amount six times greater than the R$ 8.5 million registered on Friday’s trading session.
The recovery takes place after the company announced the acquisition of the Chilean company Disal, which operates in the segment aimed at transforming waste into products — one of Ambipar’s divisions.
Disal has 2,205 employees and 550 assets located in 45 branches. In 12 months, the company recorded net income of R$503.2 million and earnings before interest, taxes, amortization and depreciation (Ebitda, its acronym in English) of R$93.8 million.
In a statement, Ambipar stated that Disal will leverage: “the offer of services in unexplored segments, such as pulp and paper, where it has proprietary solutions and is the market leader in Brazil; implementation of post-consumer plastic waste recovery, under the concept of circular economy, for transformation of raw material for the petrochemical industry; organic and inorganic growth in Latin America and generation of certifiable carbon credits”.
