São Paulo, June 9, 2022 – Ambipar – a Brazilian multinational and a leader in environmental management – signs the sponsorship agreement with Jardim Botânico Plantarum in Nova Odessa on Friday, June 10. The company will contribute to the Plantarum Friendly Company Project, which aims to promote socio-environmental and educational actions developed by the institution, as well as to improve and enhance the garden’s infrastructure.
The partnership is among the various actions that the Ambipar Group is undertaking during the month of World Environment Day. “Supporting Plantarum effectively reinforces our commitment to environmental preservation. Additionally, we contribute to strengthening environmental education in the community surrounding our headquarters, as well as among our employees and their families. Taking care of the environment is indeed a responsibility of all of us for the continuity of the planet and future generations,” says Rafael Tello, Director of Sustainability at Ambipar.
The Plantarum Friendly Company Project includes an environmental education program that encompasses actions such as guided tours, garden maintenance and infrastructure, a one-day botanical project, composting, and expansion of resting and observation spaces.
Jardim Botânico Plantarum is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is located at Avenida Brasil, No. 2000, in Nova Odessa – SP.
Known as the “Paradise of Green,” the city of Nova Odessa has a special concern for the environment. According to the city’s website, there are 15 trees per inhabitant, and each resident enjoys over 30 square meters of green space – double the UN’s recommended amount. The city also implements a broad program of replacing unsuitable trees for paving with new and suitable seedlings, ensuring the greening of streets and avenues.
