The Ambipar Group has launched Ambipar Certification, a company specialized in certification services that will conduct evaluation activities in different schemes for products, services, and processes to verify compliance with legal norms and requirements.

Ambipar Certification is a Certification Body (OCP) accredited by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality, and Technology (INMETRO) and will grant the Green Seal – a stamp that attests that the company has complied with legislation, including the requirements of the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), and may have waste valorization and circular economy practices. Thus, the Green Seal will add more value to the business and contribute to organizations achieving regularity and excellence in their management. According to Elaine Cristina Moreira, Technical Director of Ambipar Certification, the certification qualifies companies in terms of “Zero Landfill” and “Circular Economy” practices, confirming their excellence and commitment to the environment and sustainability, as well as appearing at a time when the market seeks process excellence and product quality. “Increasingly, institutions are striving to improve their processes. This path is extremely important when we think, for example, about waste issues and the transformations that must occur more strongly in the coming years. In this sense, Ambipar Certification is here to collaborate with companies committed to environmental protection and compliance with environmental laws,” highlights the executive.

Subjected to independent and specific audits for service or process certification, as established by NBR 17,065 and NBR 17,067, the Green Seal provides greater reliability and security to evaluated and accredited companies by Ambipar Certification. With the seal, companies will be recognized as a standard in managing the waste generated in their chain, and even considered benchmarking for their entire sector.

Elaine states that the certificate is synonymous with compliance with environmental regulations and reliability in waste management processes. To renew the Green Seal, in addition to annual periodic maintenance, companies will be reevaluated every three years and undergo analysis processes to verify compliance with the required guidelines and requirements, including the PNRS. If approved, the company will receive the seal again.

The first company to receive the Ambipar Certification Green Seal was Titan Pneus. The certification process began in May 2022, and the audit was conducted as a pilot for the Green Seal, with confirmation from the INMETRO evaluator and specialist. “We are very proud to be the first company to receive the Ambipar Green Seal. In addition to complying with all legal standards for an industry located in the city of São Paulo, we are a reference in actions related to the environment and social responsibility – we have our own treatment facilities, various measurements, and we work hard to become a Zero Landfill company. We want to make a difference for the future of the next generations,” celebrates Edson Tebaldi, General Director of Titan Pneus. The company has been operating for over 100 years in the North American market and sells its products in 85 countries. It produces high-quality, resistant, high-performance, and durable tires for vehicles such as trucks, conventional vans, as well as a wide range of agricultural, forestry, and off-road tires.
