Ambipar launches Ambipar Certification on Thursday (30), a new venture within the group focused on certifying zero landfill and circular economy projects. The new operation is already accredited as a Certification Body (CB) by the National Institute of Metrology (Inmetro).
Its main product will be the Green Seal, a stamp that attests that the client has complied with the legislation, including the requirements of the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), and has waste valorization and circular economy practices.
According to Elaine Cristina Moreira, technical director of Ambipar Certification, there is a market demand for process excellence and product quality. “Institutions increasingly seek to improve their processes. This path is extremely important, especially when we think about waste issues and the transformations that must occur more strongly in the coming years,” says Moreira.
To obtain the seal, the company will undergo independent and specific audits, as established by process standards such as NBR 17,065 and NBR 17,067.
Titan Tires will be the first company to receive the Green Seal. The certification process began in May 2022 through a pilot program that received confirmation from the evaluator and Inmetro’s specialist. Titan Tires has been operating in the American market for over 100 years and sells its products in 85 countries. They produce high-strength tires for trucks, pick-up trucks, agricultural, forestry, and off-road vehicles.
For the certification renewal, in addition to annual periodic maintenance, companies will be reassessed every three years and subjected to analysis processes to verify compliance with the required guidelines and requirements, as well as the PNRS. If approved, the company will receive the seal again.
