The popularity of cryptocurrencies has meant that technologies that are still little known to the general public, such as blockchain, have started to arouse more interest among Brazilians. As well as the future of inclusive work, the culture of sharing or the solutions applied by big techs in the post-pandemic.
A diversity of themes will be on display, from Thursday (17th) to Saturday (19th), in the space set up by Yolo Coliving for the Rec’n’Play festival, in operation on the 3rd floor of the Cais do Sertão Museum, in Bairro do Recife, with free access and registration through the general website of the event: https://recnplay.pe/.
There are more than 35 specialists conducting topics that permeate the search for happiness at home, from city planning to the application of technologies and trends, such as “servitization”, the anywhere office or the need for companies to adapt to ESG practices. The panels at Espaço Yolo take place every day, from 10am to 7pm.
This Thursday (17), the program begins with businessman Gustavo Glasser, CEO of Carambola, talking about cultural changes in the tech sector from the perspective of diversity and inclusion. Gustavo is a transgender man who started his career as a waiter and, realizing the opportunities in the ICT market, took Microsoft training programs, worked in large companies, participated in international competitions and ended up recognized and awarded the title of “Social Entrepreneur” , by Folha de S.Paulo.
“The future of gamification and the tokenization of assets and blockchain” will set the tone for the lectures in the early afternoon. The chat on this second day of the program will be conducted by Marcos Vinícius de Morais, strategic advisor at Ambipar Bleu Empreendimentos, and Carlos Campello, co-founder, partner and director of innovation at Qualinfo. Campello is the author of the book Blockchain Direto ao Ponto.
The first coliving designed to work in the territory of Porto Digital, Yolo also promotes a lecture, this Thursday, with the president of the technology park, Pierre Lucena, and with the co-founder of Yolo Yves Nogueira, who accumulates the position of president of Softex Pernambuco and is leader of Anjos do Brasil in the state.
“We will not be discussing tools linked to new civil construction technologies, but concepts that are guiding new living and living habits. It is the culture of sharing, collaboration, coexistence, collectivity and sustainability. We are already living the future, where being is more important than having”, defines Yves Nogueira, proptech spokesperson and co-founder of Yolo.
At 4:45 pm, it will be time to shed light on architecture and urbanism, with the lecture “How minimalist trends and collective spaces in architecture impact our experience and quality of life”. The conversation will be led by the architects Augusto Magno, founding partner of Mookamboo Studio, and Adriano Moura, founder of the Adriano Moura Arquitetos office.
Innovation in the corporate world, from responsible hybrid work to the use of artificial intelligence, will also be highlighted at the event. Executives from global tech and innovation companies, such as Rogério Moreira, from the Samsung Institute of Innovation (SiDi), or Ricardo Neves, CEO Brazil of NTT Data, are among the next panelists.
HIGHLIGHTED NOMADISM
Yolo’s first day at Rec’n’Play featured an exclusive lineup of reference professionals in tech and innovation, with regional and even international operations. Among them, João Amaral, general and operations director of Voz dos Oceanos, an initiative led by the Schurmann Family – whose expedition has the worldwide support of the UN Program for the Environment.
President of the ESG Board of Brasil Export and member of the advisory board of the Brazilian Association of Fintechs (ABFintechs), Amaral was a pioneer in the implementation of the “work from anywhere” concept in the legal universe.
The space also featured international executives, such as the Portuguese Gonçalo Hall, CEO of NomadX – a European marketplace created in 2017 to help digital nomads find affordable accommodation around the world. Currently, NomadX implements in Pipa, on the coast of Rio Grande do Norte, the first village for digital nomads in South America.
Professionals such as the speaker at Espaço Luna Markman, journalist and reporter for Globo Nordeste. She spoke about the experience of having explored more than 40 countries, in two years, doing volunteer work and studying in the places where she went. And for those interested in knowing a little more about the “path of stones”, Espaço Yolo also brought guest Marina Motta, from STB Recife. For 17 years she has been working as a consultant and guidance counselor for youth and adult exchanges.
ECOSOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
Integration with the environment and eco-social responsibility, one of the pillars of Yolo Coliving, will also take place during Rec’n’Play. To talk about it, the startup embarked on Porto Digital invited more than ten authorities, including activists and entrepreneurs, such as architect and urban planner Pedro Lira, from Natureza Urbana. With projects published in more than 20 countries and awarded works even in China, Pedro will talk about self-sustainable projects in housing and accommodation.
Cases such as Love Trash, created during the pandemic to generate income for women in Comunidade do Bode, in Pina, will be covered in the program. The ecosocial brand has transformed women’s lives by making use of textile waste and other materials to produce bags, sunglasses, cutlery holders, among other items. Specialists in glass and electronics recycling, composting and other sustainable practices will complement the conversation wheel.
