With the goal of increasing the collection of post-consumer recyclable packaging at the 695 Retorna Machines across Brazil, the initiative will triple the Tricoins awarded in the rewards and loyalty program on November 29th

São Paulo, November 2024 – Ambipar, a global leader in environmental solutions, will promote Green Friday on November 29 at 695 locations across the country. The initiative aims to triple the Tricoins generated for participants of the reward and loyalty program of the recycling machines, known as Retorna Machines, which can be exchanged for various benefits.

The machines, installed in 16 Brazilian states, as well as the Federal District, are innovative out-of-home media channels, providing high-impact media campaigns focused on sustainability and trade marketing.

The equipment is strategically placed in high-traffic locations such as shopping malls, subways, airports, retailers, and parks, contributing to the increase in reverse logistics for materials like aluminum, plastic (PET, PP, and PE), steel, long-life, and glass, which are widely consumed daily.

“For this November period, which has become so popular due to high shopping and consumption volumes, our idea is to draw the consumer’s attention to the importance of conscious consumption with an action that supports the reintegration of these materials into the production chain and reduces environmental impact, rewarding them for their participation,” explains Felipe Cury, Head of Post-Consumption at Ambipar.

Cury emphasizes that the Retorna Machine has been a solution for companies across various sectors that want to collect packaging and, at the same time, utilize the Digital Out of Home (DOOH) media potential the machine offers, with a 42-inch screen, backlit panels, and customizable front stickers, which ensure visibility and prominence for businesses.

“Interactive and impactful campaigns can provide a unique experience for consumers, strengthening relationships and loyalty with brands. There are countless possibilities for driving highly effective trade marketing campaigns,” says Cury.

By integrating the barcode (EAN) into the system, it is possible to personalize the consumer’s experience with automated actions. A practical example: when depositing a soda can, a video about the brand can be displayed and even generate a discount voucher. Through programmatic campaigns, gamification, and targeted actions, the audience can be engaged in an innovative and efficient way.

The Retorna Machines are available in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Bahia, Pernambuco, Piauí, Maranhão, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and Amazonas, as well as the Federal District.
