SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced today a partnership with Ambipar (B3: AMBP3; NYSE: AMBI), a global leader in environmental solutions with operations in 40 countries, to offer Net Zero as a Service to clients and support the fight against climate change.
Unveiled during Climate Week 2024, Net Zero as a Service combines SAP’s robust cloud solutions—including SAP Sustainability Footprint Management, SAP Green Token, SAP Sustainability Control Tower, and SAP Sustainability Data Exchange—with Ambipar’s deep expertise in carbon credit generation and trading, helping clients manage and offset carbon emissions in an integrated manner.

Comprehensive Carbon Management
Developed by SAP and Ambipar teams in Latin America, Net Zero as a Service can provide SAP clients globally with solutions for the entire decarbonization journey. SAP’s ERP-centric and AI-enabled solutions will offer extensive carbon management, allowing clients to establish a common data foundation, seamlessly measure emissions, and make granular and timely decisions that are both financially and environmentally sound. Clients will be able to offset emissions by purchasing internationally certified carbon credits through Ambipar’s technology platform, AMBIFY, available on the SAP Store—the online marketplace for SAP and partner offerings.

Scaling Net Zero as a Service
Ambipar is currently piloting Net Zero as a Service in its own operations, leveraging the power of SAP solutions while aiming to achieve aggressive growth targets this year before the service becomes widely available to SAP customers.
By utilizing SAP’s sustainability solutions—SAP Sustainability Footprint Management, SAP Sustainability Data Exchange, SAP Green Token, and SAP Sustainability Control Tower—Ambipar will establish a unified data foundation, breaking down silos within the company and measuring and managing carbon emissions seamlessly.
SAP’s sustainability solutions leverage AI capabilities to promote greater transparency, automate time-consuming and tedious tasks, and optimize for sustainable impact. With this portfolio, Ambipar will have access to automated, AI-enabled ESG reporting based on data within the SAP Sustainability Control Tower, providing a holistic and actionable view of its sustainability performance.
