Machines exchange packaging for services and credits
Packaging that can be recycled now has a new destination: the Return Machine. As a result of a partnership between Ambev and Triciclo, which is part of the Ambipar group, the packages can be exchanged for recharges in transportation vouchers and prepaid cell phones, bonuses on electricity bills or discounts at bookstores.
How to participate
To participate, you need to make a free account on the website – or Triciclo app for Android and iOS. After creating the account, just go to the nearest ecopoint and deposit your packaging or recycled material. Each type of material generates tricoins – which are used in exchange. Add the tricoins directly to your Triciclo account and convert them into credits.
The Return Machine receives all types of recyclable materials such as aluminum, steel, long-life packaging, plastic and glass.
Where to find the machines
The program has 138 ecopoints spread across several Brazilian cities. The machines are installed in metropolitan terminals such as Jabaquara, Diadema, Piraporinha, São Bernardo do Campo, São Mateus and Santo André Oeste, in the ABD Corridor, managed by EMTU, in stations on Line 4 – Yellow and Line 5 – Lilac of the subway , operated by ViaQuatro. The numbers are growing: the program has 128,437 registered users. More than 9,836,421 packages and 74,621,30 materials were collected.
