The company already owned 50% of the emergency service company and now has a complete and synergistic structure to its operations in Brazil

Ambipar, the leader in environmental management, acquired 50% of Suatrans Chile. The company already owned the other half and now fully controls the emergency response company in the country. The acquisition is complementary to Disal’s M&A, in environmental management, operating in the Environment and Response segments throughout South America, with a complete structure that is synergistic with that of Brazil.

Suatrans has been operating for over 20 years in the Response segment, focusing on meeting environmental emergencies in all modes of transport (sea, road, rail, pipeline, and air). It is the market leader in Chile, where it also provides complete assistance services on the main highways, such as rescue, tow trucks, and patrol.

The acquired company has 30 bases strategically positioned in Chile, Peru, Uruguay, and Colombia, in addition to three training camps, two in Chile, and one in Peru. With the acquisition, Ambipar now owns four training centers for professionals in emergencies in South America, the largest on the continent located in Brazil, in addition to the largest training center in the world in the United States, which will start operating in October 2022.

According to the Investor Relations Director, Fábio Castro, for Ambipar, the acquisition fully consolidates the operating profit, generating total synergy with the structure already existing in Brazil. “With Suatrans’ full control, it will be possible to start emergency care services with the rescue of victims on the highways of the countries where the company operates, not only in occurrences with chemical products but in all types of accidents. In addition, the initiative will accelerate organic and inorganic growth in the region, fully in line with our strategic growth plan and potential for maximizing margins and returns,” he says.

Ambipar’s global expansion plan has already taken emergency services to 16 countries in South America, North America, Antarctica, Africa, and Europe, through organic growth and M&A, making the Response segment a global reference in the sector. In total, there were 14 acquisitions after the IPO.
