Ambipar Bleu Technologies was born in Porto Digital, a technology hub in the city of Recife and is one of the first companies focused on the creation and development of Blockchain technology. Genio Carbon aims to facilitate more sustainable decision-making by mapping the sources of GHG emissions throughout the production chain.
Ambipar Bleu Technologies – a pioneer in blockchain solutions (BaaS), investing once again in sustainability, developed a platform for managing the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, called Genio Carbon, with the aim of helping sustainability managers and corporate environment to accurately report and store evidence of greenhouse gas emissions from the entire production chain, that is, scopes 1, 2 and 3.
Genio Carbon is a platform for managing the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, which measures gas emissions from processes and production chains in a simple, safe and tracked way, generating practical reports, which and how many GHGs were produced in particular industrial cycle or service, providing the customer with the possibility of analyzing all emissions from their production process.
Aware that the accounting, preparation and publication of GHG inventory must comply with the five accounting principles presented in the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard — relevance, completeness, transparency, accuracy and consistency — as well as in accordance with the standard of the International Organization for Standardization ISO 14064, Genio Carbon was submitted to specific and independent audits for the certification of services and processes.
This mapping of emissions uses the identification of the organizational and operational limits of the companies, according to the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, allowing the creation of specific inventories, that is, evaluating the attribution of emissions by commercialized product, purchased raw material, or even for service provided. All within a platform that identifies issuing activities and related production chain agents.
The Genio Carbon Platform was validated by the multinational certifier SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification, was declared in compliance with ISO 14064-1:2018 and ISO 14064-3:2019, as well as the Brasieliro GHG Protocol Program in GHG quantification in all scopes, offering greater credibility to inventories carried out on the platform, including data collection and awareness of the value chain involved.
After the measurement stage developed and validated by SGS, Genio Carbon is continuously expanding its many other planned features, such as the management of mitigation plans based on GHG inventories; target monitoring; carbon footprint per product, value chain engagement and even offsetting emissions that are still struggling to achieve reduction through carbon credits.
