The action will take place at KM 6 of the BR-381 bypass, heading towards Belo Horizonte, from 10am to 12pm.

On this Wednesday (13th), Arteris Fernão Dias will conduct a simulated accident involving a hazardous cargo. The action will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Betim Bypass in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, at KM 6, heading towards Belo Horizonte.

According to information released by the company, the objective is to gather specialists and train teams to respond to situations of this nature.

The scenario will involve the simulation of a pile-up involving three vehicles. One of them is a tanker truck carrying flammable liquid, which will have a small leak due to the collision.

There will also be a simulation of victim assistance. The other two vehicles will be passenger cars with victims, one trapped in the wreckage, another ejected from the vehicle, and two more in a mild to moderate condition.

The simulation will include the participation of response teams from Arteris Fernão Dias, the Federal Highway Police (PRF), Fire Department, the environmental solutions group Ambipar, the Environmental Emergency Center (NEA), and the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama).

“The concessionaire’s concern in providing this type of simulation is to bring together all those responsible for handling an accident involving hazardous materials, to train our teams so that the activity can be carried out safely and efficiently, and to mitigate the impacts on highway users through the collaboration and action of all those involved in the scenario,” explains Operations Manager Edivaldo Braga.
