Award for Izabella Teixeira: Strong Presence at the G20

Izabella Teixeira, former Minister of the Environment (2010-2016), will be honored with the France-Brazil Personality of the Year Award, (Personal Archive/Press Release).

Izabella Teixeira, former Minister of the Environment (2010-2016), will be honored with the France-Brazil Personality of the Year Award from the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce, at the Fairmont in Copacabana, on November 26, for an audience of 350 guests. She is an active participant in the G20, from November 14 to 20 in Rio – Izabella is considered the best negotiator with sectors more resistant to environmentalism, such as agribusiness. For example, under her leadership, the Forest Code was approved by Congress in 2012. With or without government support, she has always been present at the major global climate tables. Her strong presence at the G20 represents the wishes of many environmentalists in action.
