The CNN Money, CNN Brazil’s new multiplatform channel focused on business and economics, debuted this Monday (4) with a live 12-hour daily programming, available on  TV and streaming. With a specialized team and strategic commercial partnerships, the channel promises to bring the main facts of the market and the economy quickly and with quality.

The launch party, held at Casa Fasano in São Paulo, brought together over 800 people, including major names from the financial market, governors, ministers, and entrepreneurs. The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, and mayor Ricardo Nunes attended the event, which also welcomed figures such as André Esteves (BTG Pactual), José Olympio Pereira (J. Safra bank), Daniel Vorcaro and Ana Matos (Master bank), Tércio Borlenghi Júnior (Ambipar), Joesley Batista (JBS), José Seripieri Filho (Amil), Paulo Kakinoff (Porto), Caíto Maia (Chili Beans), and Fernando Magalhães (Claro). The political class was represented by Gilberto Kassab, Secretary of Government and Institutional Relations of the State of São Paulo, Senators Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI) and Tereza Cristina (PP-MS), Deputy Hugo Motta, and Governors Helder Barbalho of Pará, Clécio Luís of Amapá, and Ministers Alexandre Silveira (Minas and Energy), Silvio Costa Filho (Ports and Airports), and Juscelino Filho (Communications).

At the event, the founding sponsors were also announced, with a one-year contract: Itaú Personalité, Master bank, Inter, Ambipar, Claro, and Qualcomm.

The businessman and founder of the network, Rubens Menin, highlighted the brand’s growth in Brazil since its arrival. “Five years ago, when we started the CNN project, we did not imagine achieving the numbers we have today. CNN, among its many concepts, is pro-business and pro-Brazil. CNN Money arrives at a special moment. Our audience continues to grow, and we are increasingly consolidating ourselves in a prominent position in Brazilian media. More than audience, what really matters is credibility and contributing to the development of our country.”

As a differentiator, CNN Money will feature a real-time data panel — the dashboard — displaying Ibovespa stock quotes, currency indices, commodity movements, and other economic indicators, providing dynamic and informative coverage. This feature was set up by CNN’s Economics team, led by journalist Fernando Nakagawa.

How to watch and access platforms

CNN Money will be available to subscribers of major TV operators. On Claro, the channel can be watched at number 563, with an option to replay the last seven days. On Vivo Play, the channel will be at number 578, next to CNN Brazil. For those opting for free streaming, the channel can be accessed through Samsung TV Plus starting on November 6, on channel 2043, and via the SKY+ app.

The full programming will also be available on the website www.cnnbrasil.com.br/money and the official YouTube channel @cnnbrmoney, as well as social networks such as Instagram. These channels guarantee CNN Money a multiplatform presence, offering the public quality information on economics and business in various formats.

Fast TV and streaming

With Samsung TV Plus, the new channel will also be present in the Fast TV segment — a free streaming service where viewers watch content from various channels with commercial breaks.

CNN Money is on the Samsung TV Plus programming, Samsung’s free streaming platform for Smart TVs — but, there, the debut will only be on November 6, at 7 AM, on channel 2043.

The new channel will also be available on the SKY+ menu, SKY’s live TV and streaming platform.

To reinforce the multiplatform strategy, content distribution will be strengthened with the presence in the NEO Association.

The CNN Money programming will be available through CNN Brazil’s app, as well as on the website www.cnnbrasil.com.br/money.

To follow the programming on YouTube, just access CNN Brazil Money’s official channel: @cnnbrmoney.

Exclusive content partnerships

The new multiplatform channel CNN Money debuts with exclusive and unprecedented partnerships. Among them, with Broadcast/Agência Estado, a reference in content about economics and business.

Moreover, the channel will feature a full team of specialized partners to bring the main economic news with speed and quality. Agência iNFRA, a reference in infrastructure and concession coverage in Brazil, and JOTA, a vehicle specializing in content production and legal analyses about the three powers and the regulatory sector, are among the partners.

This initiative is part of CNN’s strategy to distribute high-quality content and specialized economic analyses.

Throughout CNN Money’s daily programming, professionals from Broadcast, Agência iNFRA, and JOTA will make live appearances on the channel.

Additionally, the channel’s journalists will have privileged access to the partner companies’ data and information platforms, ensuring greater robustness to the daily coverage.

New columnists

CNN Brazil Money has gathered a specialized team of columnists ready to make the platform the newest source of reliable information for the financial market and for political analysis in Brazil. The team includes:

  • Tony Volpon, former director of the Central Bank;
  • Solange Srour, director of macroeconomics for Brazil at UBS Global Wealth Management (GWM);
  • Gilvan Bueno, specialist in finance and capital markets;
  • Bruno Paolinelli, one of the most recognized names in Fintwit;
  • Daniel Couri, Senate budget consultant.

Specialized journalists

The commentators join renowned specialized journalists who are already present on CNN Brasil, such as: Thais Herédia, Fernando Nakagawa, Débora Oliveira, Daniel Rittner, Victor Irajá, Gabriel Monteiro and Muriel Porfiro, who will be on the CNN Money team.

Voted the Most Admired Journalist in the Economy category by Jornalistas & Cia., Thais Herédia, who worked for the Globo and Bandeirantes groups, has been on CNN since the channel’s debut.

Leader of CNN’s Economy team, Fernando Nakagawa is also on the CNN Money team. A business journalist for 24 years, he was an international correspondent in London for Estadão and has worked at Broadcast/Agência Estado, Valor Econômico, Gazeta Mercantil and Folha de S. Paulo.

Journalist Débora Oliveira, certified by the B3 training program for journalists, brings her experience of over 15 years as a presenter and reporter, with stints at SBT and BM&C News.

To strengthen coverage of infrastructure and other topics, CNN Brasil Money will also feature the presence of CNN’s journalism director in Brasília, Daniel Rittner.

Rittner worked for 22 years at Valor Econômico, where he was a special reporter, columnist and correspondent in Buenos Aires. He specializes in covering infrastructure and foreign trade. He covered eight editions of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Journalist Victor Irajá, who is also part of the team, was editor of the Radar Econômico column in Veja magazine and an economics reporter for Estadão and Rádio CBN.

The team of presenters also includes Gabriel Monteiro, who came from BM&C News, after working for Grupo Abril. Her experience in live anchoring programs focused on economic, business and financial market coverage adds another differentiator to CNN Money.

Journalist Muriel Porfiro is also part of the team and brings her 10 years of experience in television journalism. A graduate of the B3 course for journalists, she participated in the development of CNN Mercado.

Correspondents around the world

The channel will also have correspondents in Europe, Latin America and North America, who will keep viewers well informed about the main economic news from around the world.

Américo Martins will go live from London, England, with recently released economic data and policies that affect the economy and markets in Europe.

Priscila Yazbek will join the channel’s programming from New York to broadcast everything that impacts the financial market in the United States and, consequently, the entire world.

Also from New York, Mariana Janjácomo will bring the highlights of the main global financial centers.

Directly from Buenos Aires, correspondent Luciana Taddeo will record the main political, economic and capital market news in Argentina. The journalist will be responsible for capturing the current situation in the neighboring country and the repercussions of the economic measures taken by Javier Milei’s government.

Dashboard

The CNN Money screen features a special and exclusive graphic element, which guarantees the channel’s differential in the best information offering in the financial market. This is the dashboard that will allow viewers to follow the quotes of the main companies on the Brazilian stock exchange in real time and will support the experts’ analyses.

On the dashboard, which will be available 24 hours a day, it is possible to check in real time the exchange rate of the main currencies and the indexes that move the financial market, such as Ibovespa and Ifix.
