Izabella Teixeira takes on global sustainability leadership at Ambipar

São Paulo, November 6, 2024 – Ambipar (AMBP3), a global leader in environmental solutions, will now have a heavyweight name in the sustainable business sector. Former Minister of the Environment, Izabella Teixeira, has taken on the role of president of the company’s Global Sustainability Committee this month.

Izabella is one of the most renowned names in the defense of environmental and climate policies in Brazil. She joins Ambipar to bring her nearly 40 years of experience in the field, and she states that one of the reasons for accepting the company’s invitation is the opportunity to work in a Brazilian company with a global operation.

Izabella Teixeira served as Minister of the Environment from 2010 to 2016. After leaving office, she became co-chair of the United Nations International Resource Panel, a Climate Change consultant at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (Cebri), and a member of various corporate boards and advisory councils.
