Public companies need to have well-honed governance to compete for investor attention and interest. This includes, for example, a “Compliance and Integrity Program” seeking to create internal procedures and structures in order to establish ethical parameters and comply with current laws. In addition, it is necessary to have professional communication, integrated into the organization’s strategy, and arrangements and ordering capable of satisfying the customer in the omnichannel format – to serve them the way they want, scheduling appointments and creating facilities, whether in the physical world or virtual. Demand – particularly in retail companies, but not only – requires agile and responsible structures.

The metaverse (theme of the cover story of this month’s RI magazine, for example) is already receiving the first incursions of the capital market, with virtual meetings being prepared in a parallel environment, with the right to parading avatars, voting and taking a stand. In the very near future, avatars will be buying and selling products and services and companies won’t be able to claim they weren’t warned.

Regarding this new trend in the virtual world, the Sociedade Brasileira de Varejo e Consumo (SBVC) has just launched a study entitled “Radiografia do Shopper Brasileiro”, in partnership with Instituto Qualibest, pointing out that 49% of consumers intend to use the metaverse for shopping and 51% of respondents said they would buy more online using immersive platforms. And here’s a curious fact that “leads” to the ladies and gentlemen competitors: shoppers who have never used the metaverse represent 95% of those surveyed but… 70% confessed interest in the ticket. This radiography was performed in five large metropolitan regions of the country, listening to 52% of women and 48% of men from classes A, B, C and D.

Expanding the service structure – with the necessary space in the metaverse – and maintaining the parameters of adequate governance may not be so simple on a learning curve, but attentive investors will know who is more keen to conquer new markets and, consequently, increase market share in an increasingly competitive world.

RALLY

Ambify – a company of the Ambipar Group focused on carbon tokenization – will offset the carbon emission of the “Rally dos Sertões 2022”, which this year celebrates 30 years and honors the Bicentennial of Independence. It is estimated that 3,400 tons of CO2 will be offset during the races.

The event started last Friday and runs until September 10. Participants will travel through five regions of the country, eight states and 14 cities starting the race in Foz do Iguaçu/PR with final destination in Salinópolis/PA.
