A Brazilian company, Ambipar, was called by the Spanish Government to help in the recovery of the city of Valencia, which was devastated by torrential rains that caused floods and destruction at the end of October. In just eight hours, between the night of October 29 and the early morning of the 30th, the equivalent of a year’s worth of rain fell, according to meteorologists. At least 222 people died in the tragedy. Ambipar is replicating in Valencia techniques used in environmental disasters in Brazil, such as the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. The Spanish city and other regions in the country are on red alert due to the possibility of new storms caused by the Dana phenomenon.
