Virada ODS aims to increase civic engagement towards the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030

São Paulo, July 8, 2022 – Ambipar – a leading Brazilian multinational in environmental management – ​​is one of the companies supporting the Virada ODS 2022 (Sustainable Development Goals), which takes place from July 8 to 10, at the Bienal do Parque Pavilion Ibirapuera, in São Paulo, and in 9 more centers throughout the city.

The event is promoted by the Municipal Department of International Relations (SMRI) and has a program spread throughout the city with cultural and educational activities, business fair, hackaton, international congress, among others.

This year, the company is a sponsor of the “Climate Changes” panel, which takes place on Saturday (09/07). Participating in this debate are Sadiq Khan, British politician and jurist; Txai Suruí, Brazilian indigenous activist leader of the Suruí ethnic group, coordinator of the Indigenous Youth Movement; Felipe Calderón, Mexican lawyer and politician. He was President of Mexico from 2006 to 2012; Davi Kopenawa, Yanomami writer, shaman and political leader; and Wael Aboulmagd, Ambassador of Egypt to Brazil specializing in International Relations, Climate Change, Democracy, Politics and Human Rights.

Gabriel Estevam Domingos, Research, Development and Innovation Director at Ambipar, will represent the company as a guest on the panel “Partnerships between Governments, Civil Society and Companies | How can Companies Contribute to a Sustainable City?”, which takes place on Sunday, 7/10, at 11:00 am. The following will participate in the debate: Carlo Linkevieius, CEO of Rede Brasil of the UN Global Compact; Wolf Kos, President of the Olga Kos Institute; Michel Farah, founder of Farah Service; and Patricia Audi, Executive Vice President of Santander in Brazil.
